Volunteer

Dear Volunteer,

Great Rides has been created to prove two things once and for all - riding a bike is fun, and the Vancouver region is the best place for biking in the world! And you can be a part of it. Volunteering for these rides is lots of fun. Not only do you get to ride the route but you get to help make these great events happen and make new friends.

We are looking for volunteers to help make these days a huge success - and in return, volunteers will get a great day out.

  • When you volunteer for Great Rides, you'll get the following:
  • From Vancouver, bus transportation to and from events starting outside the city (bikes will be transported by van)
  • Free admission to the event before or after a half-day shift (usual cost is $10 per adult rider)
  • Free event T-shirt
  • Free coffee, lunch and refreshments
  • Lots of fun!

The jobs we have for volunteers include:

  • Staffing the registration desks for sign-up (from 9am) and to stamp route books and hand out resources on riders' return (to close at 4pm)
  • Marshalling at various points around the routes
  • Staffing Refreshment Stations around the route
  • Staffing Bike Valet parking

If you are interested in volunteering for a morning or afternoon shift with one or more of the Great Rides, please email volunteer@vacc.bc.ca. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Ride dates are as follows:
